EVOLUTION Portfolio Photograph selected for Carriage Barn Art Center Gallery

A photograph from my Evolution portfolio was selected for the annual juried fine art photography show February 8 - March 15 2009, at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan, CT. A unique Nineteeth Century stone barn on the grounds of a former estate is home to the exceptional exhibition and performance space of The Carriage Barn Arts Center in Waveny Park, New Canaan, CT. Happy New Year to everyone! In between teaching and taking care of the dawgs, I have been making lots of new images over the past few months. I'm using traditional film with my 6x6 cameras for the most part, and also have a great new little Holga 120 6x12 panoramic pinhole camera which promises to be great fun. New images will be posted soon, so please check back. My blog, Longing and Discontent is back up- I'm having a few issues with posting photos, getting posts to appear in order, and making it look the way I want it, but it should be fully designed soon. In the meantime you can visit it here and read some of my strange little stories. They always are related to what I am photographing.

Scannography site featured

Scannography.org, (an organization that I belong to) was recently featured on the photoscope blog- you can read about it (if you can read French!) here: http://blog.photo-scope.fr/comment-ca-marche/techniques-photographiques/scannographie-255.html

There are a growing number of artists and photographers using the scanner for image capture- I use the scanner for the botanical work I do for WAZOBIRD STUDIO. Please check out the Scannography.org site.
